Can Eating Healthy Reduce Stress Levels?

I was thinking about the foods that I eat on a regular bases and I started to wonder to myself. Can eating the right foods, healthy real food, help relieve my stress? I started to wonder this because I eat unhealthy foods when I feel stressed. Obviously, it has some chemical comfort, maybe it’s a connection in my brain because of a chemical reaction.

I think this is a very interesting topic. How the chemicals in food affect the chemicals in our bodies. Don’t get me wrong I am not a scientist or a chemist I just find the human body interesting. How our bodies function is so perplexing to me. The chemicals in our food have major impacts on everything in our bodies, down to the cellular and molecular level. Did you know that vitamins and minerals make a huge difference? For example we usually know that calcium is important to bone development but it is also important to muscle function and in the clotting of blood.

So I decided to research some more about the different foods and their chemical reactions. I was looking up REAL Food Blogs to see if anyone else is curious about this like I am. One thing I found which is exactly what I was talking about is that food in its natural state provides our bodies with essential vitamins and minerals needed for healthy growth and development. The benefits of consuming nourishing foods are limitless.

I found online that states one of the benefits is reduced stress. I am going to test this theory. I am going to eat my normal for a week and write a diet diary and record my stress levels. Then I will eat a healthy diet for a week and write a diet diary and see how my stress levels are then I can compare and see what the results are.
